This is to inform you that saving rate on all BHD accounts have been revised to 0.25%p.a. effective January 01st 2021.
Deferment of loan instalments

HBL is pleased to announce instalment deferment option for additional 6 months i.e. from January 01st , 2021 till June 30th , 2021 under the guidelines of CBB dated 29th December 2020. However, regular interest will be charged for these additional 6 months. The Bank will contact all the eligible customers shortly.

Dear Customer,
Account becomes inactive if there is no customer initiated transaction for one Year. Account Holders are requested to contact their branch along with original ID documents in case they have not operated their account since one year. For more information, contact your nearest HBL branch or contact our 24 hour Phone Banking team on +973 17202425.
Failed POS and ATM Transaction

We would like to inform all our customers that in case your ATM withdrawal or POS transaction is declined, there is a possibility that your account has been debited. You are therefore advised to regularly check your SMS alerts and account statements. If any debit against a failed transaction is identified, kindly raise a claim with the bank immediately. For further details you can either visit our branches or call 17202425 for queries.
Increase in international ATM/POS usage charges

Our charges on International transactions made through ATM/POS will be increased from 1.5% to 3% per transaction with effect from 20th December 2018. For further details you can visit our branches.
Introduction of VAT for 2019

From 1 Jan 2019, we will be required to collect Value Added Tax (VAT) on certain products and services, in line with the decree 48/2018 in the Kingdom of Bahrain relating to VAT. HBL’s rates fees and charges will be amended to include VAT, where applicable, effective from 1 Jan 2019.
